The Argraves Family

If you have been following my blog from the beginning you will recognize a little cutie in these photos. That's right baby Samantha is back! This time she is with her amazing parents! I had the pleasure of photographing this wonderful family for their Christmas cards. When I first arrived, I was warned that little Sam was not really feeling up to par but once I walked in a smile appeared on her face! Teething doesn't stand in the way of this little lady being a baby model. As long as she has something to hold on to or put in her mouth she is content. If you saw the previous photos of her, she loves to stick her tongue out, this time she held back on this and was most concentrated on sucking and trying to chew ornaments. Her parents are such a delight and it is very obvious they love their little girl SO much, how could they not!? She's a doll! This family is also very easy going and down to earth, I love that because it makes my job so easy! Between moving furniture, battling the cold wind outside, and taking breaks for Miss Samantha the afternoon flew by and was perfect!

Favorite Things/Quotes
"Take your pick Ron, reflector or entertaining." -Erin
Uncle Chris showed up and made Samantha giggle so much
"Well that headed south real fast." -Erin (Samantha started giggling and then started crying)
Knitted Elf Booties
Sparkle Dust
Samantha was more comfortable in just her diaper than her Santa suit and Christmas dress.

Chris and Paige

Chris and Paige have a very special father-daughter relationship. When I pulled into their driveway they were enjoying a walk along the gravel road on the property that leads to a gorgeous field. I also noticed a deer hanging proudly on the side of the garage. Not being a hunter and forgetting that deer season was still going on, seeing the deer hanging took me by surprise. Chris and Paige decided they needed photos taken because it just a few shorts weeks Chris will be moving states away and Paige will be staying behind. These two shared so many laughs (I was laughing right along with them). Even when Paige was having some individual photos taken Chris was right behind me making her laugh. The time spend with these two is definitely something I will not forget!

Funny Things/Quotes:
"That deer weighs more than you and her combined!"- Chris
"Oh, look Paige, look at all that stuff there." -Chris (referring to his tractor trailer truck load of equipment that was leaving to be moved)
"Paige, there they are!"- Chris (Pointing out Canadian geese every time they flew over)
"That's an outdoorsy as Paige has ever gotten"- Chris
"AHHHHH, NO!"- Paige (When Chris took the hove of the deer and ran it up her back)
 Hearing Paige's constant giggle
Paige is also an up and coming photographer and sells her photos at various craft fairs around Aroostook County!

Taylor and Madison

Today is Thanksgiving and I couldn't think of a better photo shoot to share on today. This is because I am so thankful for these two beautiful little girls. It's hard to believe that its been nearly three years since I have been blessed with them in my life. I couldn't ask for two better "little sisters." Even though we do not see each other as much as we want to, it's obvious when we see each other that it doesn't matter. The bond we have is something I don't see ever breaking. They bring joy into my life every time I see them or when I show their beautiful pictures or cards off to my friends at college. Everyone agrees that they are completely adorable! My fridge is plastered with their faces and drawings and thankfully my roommate doesn't mind! I was lucky enough to spend the afternoon with them yesterday and got greeted with screams and hugs. It used to be I would pick them up and twirl them around but with Taylor almost as tall as I am its hard to do that now! They have grown up so much and it's starting to make me feel old. I always tell them they have to stop growing but it hasn't worked yet. To capture these shots we tromped through the snow, battled the cold and got a little wet from falling down but I wouldn't have changed a thing. We ran around and somehow I escaped a huge snow throwing fight but did catch it on camera. These two girls mean to the world to me and I hope you are able to see everything wonderful in them through these photos.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Taylor and Madison, I am so thankful for you and I am truly blessed to you have you in my life- love you!

Matthew

Meet my best friend, ya that's right my best friend is a guy. There is no one on this earth that knows the real me like he does. He has wiped my tears from me being sad or from him making me laugh so hard. Regardless, he is someone I can count on no matter what. He listens to me complain and whine, even when he doesn't want to. Matthew has been the one to encourage me in every aspect of my life. He is also right behind me giving the extra push when I want to give up and just accept failure. Matthew is the most genuine person I know. He is also truthful, he will tell you exactly how he feels and doesn't really care if he ends up hurting your feelings, if its for the best interest of you, he says it. Matthew has seen me in action behind the camera many times and until recently absolutely refused to be in front of my lens. He just feels he isn't "photogenic", I will let you decide on that statement. One thing that sets Matthew apart from many others are his beautiful baby blues. Eyes are my favorite feature to capture (maybe that's because I want to be an eye doctor, who knows!) I hope you are able to capture not only his physical attributes but also be able to see who he is as a person in these photos.

Karlie

Karlie is a student at UMaine. She is also my amazing roommate! We planned a while ago to do a photo shoot and we finally figured out a time that worked best for both of us. We battled the ice cold wind but there was a beautiful sun, so that's what matters. Kacey, Karlie's best friend, joined us and entertained Karlie and I, we laughed at just about everything she said! Yesterday, was when I realized that Kacey was hilarious and so much fun to be around. She will have to come and spend more time at our apartment!  She was also a pro at saying things that really cracked Karlie up which resulted in a natural smile! For all of you who don't know what I love most about photography, its capturing natural smiles!
Karlie is a beautiful person inside and out and I hope you can see this through her photos.

Kacey and Karlie, you can SO tell they are best friends!

Baby Lydia

This is Lydia, she is absolutely precious baby. She has the bluest eyes I have ever seen on a baby, they are beautiful! She is so full of life and a talker! She talked through the whole photo session and crawled...FAST! She was on the move! Even though she was sick with a cold, you can't tell from these photos. She had so much fun and not to mention her parents were SO AWESOME about getting her attention and playing with her. I expect her to be a professional piano player someday, she had fun showing me her skills!

She was determined to put her own headband on... even when her Mom put it on for her she took it right off and tried again!
